Time for an update on the meals in long haul economy on BA in Nov 2025. Note that I show the special meal (low fat), I believe they serve the same for a few of the other special meals as well.

This trip was on my favorite aircraft the wonderful A380. Big, roomy and soo smooth even in turbulence. However, I’m sad to say that they need an upgrade. Problems with the seat not functioning optimal, others had problems with the entertainment system etc. When they do upgrade I wish they would keep the seats in the same style. They are more padded and comfy for long hours than the newer thinner ones.
On to the food, this flight is around 10 hrs, between LHR and MIA. On the way out I got this..

Pretty much the same as last year, except that the bread was white, squishy and ice cold. Is it really that hard to offer warm bread? And please bring back the wholegrain bread. Fish with glass noodles, some veggies and yes that curry again (sorry I don’t like curry).
Most of all I hate the wooden cutlery, it’s nasty and you can taste the wood. I’m seriously considering bringing my own next time, in plastic 😉

Second meal before landing in Miami was this, a warm pastry that was actually quite nice. Between meals they served refreshments of course but there wasn’t much in the galley at this time when it comes to snacks (or they were all eaten).

The meal on the flight back from MIA was much better! Chicken breast, dry of course but heated correctly. Veggies, potato mash, a squishy white bread again.

I’m always happy to see fresh fruit!! Some blueberries and underneath blackberries and some red orange. A little salad is always nice too.
I forgot to take a photo of the second meal before landing, it was a warm pizza/burrito sort of thing with veggies. Very messy since there was no cutlery to go with it. I much prefer the egg dish that is served on the longer flights from LAX.

The beautiful A380 at dawn, I hope these planes will fly for many, many years to come!
