Time for another post about the meals in BA Economy long haul in 2026. Note that I always choose the low-fat option. Let’s get right to it, this is a flight between LHR and LAS on the A350.

No real surprises here, almost identical to what I got last year. A piece of cod with glass noodles and yes curry flavour. I still don’t like curry. I was happy to find a brown bread bun instead of a squishy one! I like the crackers! It was an ok meal but I still wish they would replace the wooden cutlery.

On to the second meal served before landing.

Same as last time it was meat balls (that I didn’t eat), wild rice and veggies. It’s very odd that this meal doesn’t come with water, instead you have to wait for drink service, which can take a long time. This is a huge minus in my book, when you choose special meals you get served before everyone else so why would you have to wait for some hydration with it??

My seat on this flight was 30A, the computer assigned it to me and it was honestly the best seat I’ve ever had in economy! The most private seat in the cabin and so much leg room. It makes a HUGE difference on a long flight! The only drawback is of course that you have to stow all your stuff during takeoff and landing. Even with this, it’s well worth it and I would pay for it if it’s available on my upcoming flights.

Of course on the A350 in eco you always want to be in the smaller cabin in the front in general, it’s more private and right behind the premium section. The bulkhead seat 30A (or the whole row) is more quiet and only 2 seats instead of 3.

Going back, well don’t forget to play some slots at the airport, it’s Vegas after all!

I find that the meals on the way back from the US are usually better, and there is no curry.

The main meal was chicken (hidden underneath the sauce), quinoa and veggies. The chicken was dry of course but that’s expected, but it was properly heated. I was happy to find some guacamole and the dessert was tasty. Not happy about the squishy white bread.

Breakfast before landing at LHR was eggs, sweet potato and mushrooms/veggies. A squishy white bun and some pieces of melon. No hydration with this one either, had to wait to get some water and juice. That’s awful BA, it’s not too much to ask that it should be served right along with the meal when you have slept for a few hours.

That’s it for the meal service on the A350 to west coast USA in 2026.
